How to convert Markdown to PDF
- Paste your Markdown, or an answer from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
- Pick the page size (A4 or US Letter) and a font, then check the preview.
- Click Save as PDF. In the print window, set Destination to "Save as PDF" and click Save.
Why it uses the print window
Your browser's own PDF engine produces the best result: text stays selectable and searchable, fonts render sharply, and Bangla, Hindi, Arabic and other scripts print correctly. The converter prepares a clean page layout with margins and sensible page breaks, then hands it to that engine.
Tables and code blocks are kept together where possible so they do not split awkwardly across pages, and headings are not left alone at the bottom of a page.
Frequently asked questions
I do not see a "Save as PDF" option. What do I do?
Open the Destination or Printer list in the print window. On Windows it may be called "Microsoft Print to PDF". On a Mac, click the PDF button at the bottom left. On Android, choose "Save as PDF" as the printer. On iPhone, pinch outward on the print preview to open the PDF, then use Share to save it.
How do I remove the date and web address from the top and bottom?
In the print window, open More settings and untick "Headers and footers".
Can I edit the PDF afterwards?
PDFs are hard to edit. If you might need changes, use the Markdown to Word converter instead and save as PDF from Word when you are done.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The page is prepared and printed by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
